Garden Adventure

cats, family, gardening

Are garden got planted this weekend.  There was enough of a break in the rain.  I really hope it all turns out.  I need to get some pictures of our little beds up by the chicken coop with the fence around it.  It’s not fancy, but each year we hope to improve that spot a little more.  I cannot wait for fresh vegis.  I’m so over buying vegetables.  I’m just done.

Last year very little was preserved from our garden due to my injury, so this winter our grocery budget was insane.  We planted way more than I can possibly handle.  I should be concerned about it, but surprisingly, I’m not.  I just keep sticking seeds in the ground over and over.  It’s exciting.

As you can see, Ingrid loves to swing in Silje’s lap.  Silje likes to have her in her lap, so it’s a win-win.

Solveig seems to be doing just fine now.  She’s been eating non-stop.  Oh, that child…

Milo likes to hang out in the strawberry patch these days.  I hope cats don’t eat strawberries.  Boots is my favorite cat with the orange nose, and striped body, and white “boots” like feet.  Her belly is swelling big now.  She’s a first time mommy, so we’re anxious to see how things go.  A few of our neighbors have already asked for some of her kitties when they are ready.  There are new adventures all around!

How fun! New kitties to play with…a child’s dream! It was good talking with you this weekend. I hope the rest of your week goes well and your garden is bountiful. We’ll help eat it when we get up there in August. 🙂
