The body of my sweater is completed. The bottom of it had to be modified from my original design, and I’m still chewing on that thought. For now, though, it looks fine and I’m moving onto the sleeves for a bit. I’ve been spending the majority of my knitting time working on swatches I can’t show right now. I have a new submission due at the end of this week, and I’m pretty sure I’m over-thinking it.
I mentioned before that this pattern that I’m working on will be a part of a collection that I’m imagining. I’ve been spending a bunch of time trying to organize the ideas behind this collection, and I think my imagination is starting to go wild, because I’m starting to think bigger than I was before, and I’m not sure yet if that’s a good thing or not. It might delay the publication of this collection by quite a bit, but I’m toying with the idea of just going big. We’ll see.
As for reading, I surprised myself this last week and picked up a book for myself when we were at the library this week. I happened upon it by chance, and I have a really tough time passing up stories from WWII. I’ve always been fascinated with Holocaust stories. I just couldn’t resist. I seriously don’t have time for this, and that’s when I normally get sucked into a dramatic war story that I neglect every job I have so I can read it. If I’m not returning any phone calls, you know why.
Linking up with Ginny during her weekly Yarn Along.

February 26, 2014 at 3:04 pmThat’s my fear every time I pick up a good book. Everything else goes by the wayside, eating, sleeping, chores, everything. I just get sucked right in, so I can relate to your dilemma. It’s good to have some alone time though, to continually feed your soul. The sweater continues to look beautiful!

February 26, 2014 at 3:06 pmPretty yarn color! Is it a sad sort of book (I can only imagine WWII and Holocaust is not but so cheerful)? I’m trying to stick to hopeful and happy things.

That is a lot to ponder; I was excited to see what you were putting together soon so of course I think small and then may incorporate your small beginning into a larger collection later… 🙂 but I just want to see what you are making! May God give you wisdom!!! 🙂 🙂
