Well, he’s God’s work in progress, not ours. I just had to throw this picture in from today because he’s cute and squishy.
Here is my newest work in progress. It’s actually for me this time. (Imagine that!) Since I’ve never knit something for myself before, as far as clothing goes, this would be my first. You can see what it should look like when it’s done here. Although, mine is in this pretty plum color.
Here’s my spaghetti sauce from today. I suppose this is a finished project (except the dishes of course). I didn’t have quite enough for the forth jar, but decided to put it through the canning process anyway to see what would happen. It sealed perfectly, (the button has been sucked down) but since it’s not full, I’m not sure if it needs to be eaten right away or not. Anyone know what to do with jars that aren’t full?

And here’s my chimney man. What a hunk.

Scaling great heights to please the love of his life.

So what do people without all this machinery on hand do when they want to install a fireplace? I suppose that’s what contractors are for. We now have our gorgeous hearth stone sitting in our living room, but the lighting isn’t right for a picture. Although I’m dedicated to the blog, I’m not about to move a 7 ft piece of granite for a picture. I’ll just wait until morning when the sun is in the right spot.

And to top off this productive day, a dear friend stopped by and brought us a pumpkin pie and a quick visit. Now those are the kind of friends we want for life! I still have to work on the laundry and fix supper, but everything else got done. What a nice, peaceful, uneventful day.

September 10, 2009 at 2:22 amI LOVE that cardigan you’re knitting! BTW, you need to post a picture of Silje in that cute red jacket she wore to school today.
Also, I’d like to just jump through the computer and grab that cute, squishy baby right up. What a doll!
No advice on the canning question. I haven’t canned since before you were born, but I’d like to start again, time permitting. I used to can a mean batch of chunky applesauce with lots of cinnamon. In the meantime, I’ll do it vicariously through you. 🙂
I’m glad you posted chimney pics. I forgot to ask you how that was going when I talked with you earlier. Looking forward to the hearth picture. Love, Mom
