Silje got on the school bus again today. It was red/blue day at school today, so she wore a beautiful red velvet jacket that she got for her birthday this summer. After being a little unsure after the first day, she’s had a whole week now without school and is more than eager to return.
After Labor Day weekend at the lake is over, I feel this big sigh of relief that the summer festivities are now at a close. For instance, you know what I have planned for today? Not much. We’re not even going to town for grocery shopping. I am planning on canning a bit of speghetti sauce again, probably during nap time. Yesterday I got the floors cleaned in the kitchen and dining room and 3 season porch. Today I just need to clean the multiple loads of laundry in the den, and clean the bathrooms, and the house is slowly starting to look decent again. I just love it.
The last day Silje went to school we had people over to prepare the sweet corn for baking and freezing, so David didn’t notice Silje being gone much. We’ll see how it turns out for him today.
And here’s a bit of eye candy for you:
Look who can pull up to a stand now!
I feel like I’ve been writing more than I have posted. I’ve had so many devotional type posts ready to go. But for some reason, writing about God carries so much more weight to it than what I’m doing today. Those I feel the need to edit over and over and over again. Then many times they never get posted. God has been doing so much in our lives, that I want to proclaim that. Hopefully I’ll have some of it edited enough to post later.
