Well, I’ve missed some of these, and MckMama has a new picture for her “Not Me” carnival. Here it goes:
I did not make the guests of my home do chores this morning and this afternoon. (3 of my cousins are out visiting before our big family reunion this next weekend.) After discussing the plans the night before, I did not overhear the oldest of the sibling group tell the other two as they were going to bed: “We’re all getting up no later than 7:30 tomorrow…and I’m not afraid to use water.”
And when running to the store today, I had to move Knut’s pick up out of the driveway. When my cousins admitted that none of them drove a stick, so I would have to move the truck, I did not just shrug my shoulders and think to myself “I used to drive a stick” and get in the truck and couldn’t figure out how to turn it on. I did not just put the truck in neutral and let it roll down the driveway as I waved like a beauty queen, as my cousins helped nudge it down a bit.
I will not admit that my dog likes my cousins more than she likes me…which is saying a lot because I’m her favorite in this house.
I would never put my baby in front of a Baby Einstein movie so I could write a “not me” post, because, I’m sure television is not recommended for infants.
I did not set the oven on fire the night before the 4th. My 4th pies did not drip to the bottom of the oven, and when they came out, I did not put the oven on the “clean” cycle so that it would get taken care of before I forgot, and a few minutes later there was a fire inside. I did not then start screaming, making Knut and my 3 cousins race into the kitchen to rescue me.
I did not call one of my cousins my favorite in front of all the others while playing “Settlers of Catan” just because he said it was okay for me to pick up a resource that I had forgotten to pick up in the previous turn. I would never manipulate like that just to win a silly board game.

Any good recipes with strawberries? Over-picked this year (again). 🙂
