Monday Morning

house stuff

Well, it’s not quite noon yet, and I fell as if I deserve a little blogging break. Here’s what has been done so far:

-clean master bedroom (including dusting)
-clean/sweep Silje’s room
-pick up the tornado in boys’ room, and vacuum with baking soda because their room always stinks
-sweep and dust upstairs hallway
-clean upstairs bathroom (which was BAAAD. I was literally scrubbing toothpaste off the wallpaper. David’s new thing is putting toothpaste on “himself.”)
-wash 4 loads of laundry and hang them on the line.
-take down 3 pieces of laundry that birds pooped on.
-print out handwriting practice for Silje to practice writing her whole name for “Right Start” kindergarten “practice” at her school tomorrow.
-spend significant amount of time dealing with Silje when she started screaming because when she was cutting out the picture she colored, it tore a little and she started screaming, and then David came running to see if Silje was ok, and then she shoved David on the ground because she didn’t want to be rescued because nothing was wrong, and then she screamed when I tried to fix her picture. Yeah, that was a LONG talk.
-kill one rather hairy spider. ((shivers))

And still on the to do list for today:
-clean kitchen windows
-clean front entry windows
-vacuum 3 season porch
-make lunch
-make supper (well, not one right after the other of course.)
-dishes
-get rid of junk accumulating on kitchen counter
-weed vegetable garden.
-take out dead flowers in the house.

Whew! Good thing Elias is taking a good nap this morning! Silje has been coloring/throwing tantrums and David has been playing with his lincoln logs/rescuing Silje. Lena has been following me around all morning, and is now passed out on my feet as I’m typing. So all in all, a good morning! They are now both playing outside and having a blast. I better get back to work before Elias wakes up!
