Yarn Along

I finished my Ashby shawl.  I love it so much.  It’s texture delights.  I’m so excited for it to get cooler now.

I modified the pattern for the body section, according to several project notes on Ravelry.  Basically, the chart has one line be the pattern line (knits and purls) and the next line be all purl.  You basically just switch it up, do the pattern line on the wrong side instead of the right side, so that your rest line can be all knit.  It saved my wrists this way, and it went much faster.

I’m ready Fall!  You can bring it on now!

It’s really beautiful! I can’t believe how fast you pumped that out. I am glad you are pulling back from “tasks” and resting extra… knitting extra. Didn’t get a chance to comment yesterday, but we are slowly watching Gilmore Girls for the first time and it’s a lot of fun.

Oh, that is lovely! I bought a large quantity of woolly, worsted weight yarn, and perhaps this is the pattern for it (as I see it was originally written for Brooklyn Tweed, which has a similar texture). I just want something warm to layer or wrap myself up in this winter!

It looks lovely! Ashby has been in my queue for I while and now I’m looking forward to making it even more. Whenever that actually happens, of course…
