I don’t have the best photo today. Actually, this last weekend, Ingrid broke my camera card reader. It was a cheap $10 USB port thingy that needed replacing. I have a new one coming sometime this week, but in the meantime, this just happened to be already uploaded to my computer before the hardware malfunction that happened between Ingrid’s teeth.
I’m attempting to listen to some audio books. The kids and I have been listening to Old Yeller, but really only Silje pays attention. I also got Jane Austen’s Emma as well as the bestseller The Help though I haven’t gotten to them. I’m wondering if I will. I hope so.
I finally cast on my 2nd version of my Lady Pearl sweater. This is my first time using Swan’s Island yarn, and it is seriously good stuff. It’s so soft, with some great variegation. I did have to start working from 2 skeins because the colors were pooling badly in this particular size. I probably should have been doing that anyway with yarn that variates this much. At any rate, it’s gorgeous.
Linking up with Ginny’s Yarn Along over at Small Things.

June 4, 2014 at 12:52 pmI think your picture is very good. It shows up the lovely colors in your yarn. Old Yeller is one of my favorite books. You should also read Savage Sam, about the son of Old Yeller. I enjoyed the movie version of The Help but the book was a little bit irritating to me. I have read all of Jane Austen’s novels and liked all but Mansfield Park. Emma’s a good one. Happy reading!

June 4, 2014 at 1:13 pmI didn’t expect to enjoy The Help that much, since I don’t typically read “chick lit” and that’s what I assumed it was… but I was happily wrong and was really glad I gave it a chance because I loved it! I hope you get to it one day!

June 4, 2014 at 2:30 pmThe color of the yarn is amazing! I read The Help last year. I read it in two days because I just couldn’t put it down! And that is why I don’t read fiction very often. I get sucked in and end up neglecting everything else in my life until the book is finished! Lol!
