Happy Birthday, David! I’m glad you’re 6!
David is getting tall, as you can see from this picture from Sunday when we had a bonfire before bed.
David needs new pants. Now that the weather’s is cooling, and shorts are shelved…it is time.
David is spending his birthday going to the first regularly scheduled “homeschool group” of the year, followed by choir practice. He’s having a few friends over after school tomorrow for a little celebration, and then celebrating again at Grandma’s with his Grandpa, Aunt, and soon-to-be-Aunt who are also celebrating this week or around. October is a crazy birthday month for Knut’s side of the family.
David is getting a basketball from Mommy and Daddy. When we find a baseball glove that fits him, he’ll get one of those too. He’ll probably also get every 6 year old boy’s dream: lots of new pants.
If you ask him what he’ll do now that he’s 6, he’ll tell you: “Now I’m old enough to go to camp!” Next summer will be his first overnight stay out at Bible camp and he couldn’t be more excited. It may be a long winter.
