Here she is. Today she’s 5 months old. This little girl is dearly loved by her family. The kids each dote over her. She just loves to watch them play…especially Elias. She’s chubby like Silje was at her age, but has an amazingly strong core, like David did as a baby, and has the ability to charm anyone in the room without fear like her brother Elias. She rolls everywhere. I don’t remember the other kids being so mobile this early. The kids think she’s going to be a taste-tester when she grows up because all she wants to do is taste everything. I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a tooth soon.
She grabs for everything in our hands now, and no longer passively watches us. She grabs at glasses, grabs the phone when I’m talking, and reaches for food…which I’m very certain the other kids were not doing at this age. If she sees a toy on the ground, she rolls to it with shocking accuracy.
She’s happy all the time. Her whole body lights up when anyone looks straight at her. She is already loving toys, loving to interact, and loving to move. I now can’t feed her when Knut is in the room because everytime she hears his voice, she stops eating and cranes her neck to find him. All he has to do is whisper something to me and it disrupts the feeding. It’s half charming, and half annoying. If she’s hungry enough she’ll eat, but mostly she just wants to gaze into her daddy’s eyes.
Somebody please tell her to slow down, because she’s not listening to me. It’s all going so much faster this time around.
