I’m still on the path to destruction, ripping out inches of designs in various projects. Yesterday I cast on for this scarf design, and hopefully it will be my ticket out of this funk. So far, so good.
The kids and I just started a biography of Harriet Tubman. They are really, really into biographies no and that has been fun. We’ve totally been reading our school books out of order. Oops. 😉
I’m also reading Ministry of Motherhood which has been touching my heart deeply. Sally’s discussion on inspiring your kids has really made a difference on how I speak to my kids and has been good for both their hearts and mine.
I’m linking up with Ginny, who I hope is resting as much as she can. I have to ask you to squeal with me at her newborn post yesterday. The striped booties her son is wearing in one of the photographs? They were my gift to her. I was so excited she posted a picture of him in them for me.

I like the sound of Ministry of Motherhood. We were just yesterday talking with my husband about how we talk to the kids and asking ourselves if improvements needed to be made. When we picked my son up from school he had ripped his jeans (third pair in three days) and when I commented on it he started crying! Told him it was not that big a deal and do you know what he answered – it’ not what you said it’s the way you said it!!! a humbling lesson for me right there in the school yard!
