I’m Blessed

Blessings

It’s been a good week.  Here are some blessings that stick out to me:

We started homeschooling last week, and the first week went better than I’d planned.

This baby has allowed me to drink a cup of coffee a day again.  I don’t allow myself more than that, but I’m glad I at least have that back!  That could be why I’ve been feeling emotionally more stable as well.  I’m loving having my coffee back in the morning again!!  Yeah!

I can also drink a cup of tea if I want after an exhausting day.  Seriously, I’ve missed my hot liquids.

I had my first nesting rampage and cleaned a bunch of the house after the kids went to bed one night.  On the down side, it hurt to stand the next day, so I need to remind myself to slow down and pace myself.  I can’t do everything that comes into my brain.  Those who know me know I don’t get the cleaning impulse often, so it’s really hard to stop myself when it does come.   I’m focusing on the blessings in this post so we’ll just say: clean house!  Yeah!!

My brother and sister in law just moved into their new house with a new job this last weekend.  Their new house is so completely perfect for them, and them even finding it was such a “God thing.”  God’s hand was so evident in it, and we are so grateful for their sake.

I found a lost necklace.  I know that sounds silly to have on this list, but a few months ago, I lost a very sentimental necklace that Knut gave me a few years back.  I can’t tell you how many hours and days I have spent looking for this necklace.  I cried packing for Hawaii, because I couldn’t wear this special necklace he gave me when we were there on our anniversary trip.  I wasn’t sure how to tell him I had no idea where it was.  I have caused as many messes as a 2 year old looking for it over and over again.  Knut ran across it when putting away the camping gear.  Don’t ask me how it got there, because I certainly never wore it camping, but he simply stuck it in my jewelry box without thinking anything of it.  I went to grab some earrings for a wedding, and there it was, just sitting in the jewelry box.  I cried again.  It’s one less worry floating around my brain.

Watching my stomach move and roll with kicks and nudges coming from within me when I’m sitting down at night.

Garden harvest overload.

Every apple-based dessert that we get this time of year.

Sooo many more.  I feel so blessed this week.  I’ve been able to contemplate a lot about how God meets all of my needs.  I’m learning to rely on Him for rest…and it’s so good.  I’ve also had some unexpected opportunities to spend some quality time in prayer and Bible study and it’s been so refreshing to pray…uninterrupted.

For those who want to join in, leave in the comments section how you have been blessed this last week.  If you’re like me, Monday is an especially good day to reflect how we’re blessed, and all God has done for us.

I’m blessed that we could go out to coffee with friends last night and actually walk around outside, and it was feeling kind of cool (in the 80’s). Thank God for cool weather in Phoenix! I’m also blessed that Papa got an after-school tutoring job at the school where he works, tutoring math and science. He’s so excited!

I was blessed today by HOURS by myself (ok, with a 10 month old on my back- he was quite content though so it didnt count) just wandering around Walmart. Didn’t get much of anything but I had to be there to get some glasses for my 3 yr old put back together. I had so much fun just wandering. Saw the same employee a couple times and we chatted. It was a very nice break! Then, said 10 month old got to come out of the boba and he proceded to giggle and grin for lots of people passing by. It was SO wonderfully relaxing!
