Elias reached his 4 month birthday on the 15th, and was just at the doctor’s yesterday. He checked out OK! He was 16 lbs even, and 24 inches long. You should see his chunky thighs! That put him in the 75% percentile for weight and the 25% percentile for height. (His largest percentile for height to date.) The doctor thought that it might be time to introduce some rice cereal, as I reported that he can nurse with few breaks for up to 2 hours in the evening before bed. So I made up a tablespoon of rice cereal yesterday, and he ate about 3/4 of it! I think he’s going to be a pro!

His absolutely favorite thing to do now is play in the saucer. He just loves to “stand up.”

He’s not rolling over yet…but he’s so close!

David spends much of his time now playing with Elias in the saucer, when Elias is awake, that is. They enjoy each other so much!
Here’s 2 quick videos of the boys playing together.
And just because my little beauty isn’t getting as much blog time as her brothers…here she is:

She is such a great big sister. Did you know that she is starting kindergarten this fall? We went to a “Kindergarten Round-up” at her new school on Tuesday. She got to meet some of the teachers, and play a bit in some of the rooms. My little baby is getting so big! As loud as the boys are, I think it will seem lonely around here when she heads off to school every day on the bus. Since we’re out in the country, she’ll get picked up close to first, and dropped off close to last on the bus. Knut said as a kid, the ride to school was often around 45 minutes! Knowing Silje, I think she’ll enjoy every minute of it!
